A graveside service for Josephine Porter, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 22 years, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the veterans section of Lone Mountain Cemetery.
She died Nov. 16, 2002, at Evergreen Care Center in Carson City. She was born Oct. 2, 1917, in Seattle.
She married Albert Porter on April 30, 1966, in Hawthorne.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Ontario, Calif.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening.
Among her survivors are: husband Albert of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law George and Mae Ruth of Reno; daughter and son-in-law Gail and Jim Sims of Riverside, Calif.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
