Obituary Rose G. Rosenberry

Funeral Mass will be said for longtime Carson City Rose G. Rosenberry at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley followed by the saying of the Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Rosenberry died Nov. 22, 2002 in Carson City. She was born Oct. 25, 1909 in East Chicago, Ind., to Frank B. and Genevieve Murphy Dixon. She was 93.

Mrs. Rosenberry attended high school in Indiana. She married Eugene G. Rosenberry June 26, 1934 in East Chicago. She was a homemaker and worked in the lunchroom at Edith Fritsch Elementary School for 10 years. She was active at St. Teresa's and past president of the Catholic Daughters in San Diego, the Carson City Leisure Club and Good Sams Travel Club.

Prior to moving to Carson City in 1968 she lived in San Diego from 1952-1968 and in Baltimore from 1936-1952.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, who died in Carson City in 1989 and a daughter Sharon who died in 1996.

Among her survivors are: her sons Donald F. of Oak Harbor, Wash., Frank D. of Sun Valley and daughter Kay Duncan of Gardnerville; a sister Genevieve O'Connor of Salem, Ore; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carson-Tahoe Hospice.
