Six different players found the net as Douglas won its Senior Day regular season home finale. More important, the Tigers extended their unbeaten streak to 10 straight games and improved to 11-2-1 in the Sierra League standings.

"It was Senior Day so our seniors got to play anywhere they wanted. I'm real happy with the way we played, the quality of the officiating was excellent, it was just a fun match," Douglas coach Fred Schmidt said. "We've had 10 straight games without a loss. We have some tough games coming up, but the way we're playing now, I don't think it matter who we're playing."

The Tigers conclude their regular season next Tuesday with a critical league match on the road against third-place Reno.

Three of the Tigers' six seniors scored goals in the contest. It started with a hookup between seniors when Jessica Brady fed Rebecca Wallstrum for a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute.

Douglas broke it open by scoring four times within a 10-minute span bridging the first half and second. Allison Chapman and Christina Bradshaw combined to assist Kristen Bartshe on a goal in the 39th minute to give the Tigers a 2-0 halftime lead. Bradshaw scored unassisted in the opening minute of the second half, Hannah Sullivan scored off an assist from Mackenzie Porter in the 46th minute and Tracey Hawks scored off an assist from Tarran Hadlock in the 49th minute to give the Tigers a 5-0 lead.

Hawks, Sullivan and Bradshaw share the team lead in scoring this season with nine goals each.

Brady, who normally plays sweeper, moved up to play forward late in the game and scored in the 77th minute, assisted by Bartshe.

Douglas also took care of business defensively because goalkeeper Andrea Bryant never had to make a stop during the match. Senior midfielders Britney Christen and Molly Hernandez helped the Tigers control the ball.
