A memorial service for Andrew G. "Andy" Laubert, 42, a Gardnerville resident for the past 17 years, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Community Church in Minden.
Mr. Laubert died Oct. 22, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno. He was born May 20, 1960, in Norriston, Pa., to Raymond and Esther Sawyer Laubert. He struggled with muscular dystrophy for most of his life.
He graduated from high school and attended two years of college in Pennsylvania.
He married Joyce Mattern March 31, 1985, in Pennsylvania.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Philadelphia for 26 years.
Mr. Laubert was a salesman for a medical literature company. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Minden.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Among his survivors are his wife Joyce and daughter Megan, both of Gardnerville; mother Esther Laubert and brothers Ray and Bruce, all of Pennsylvania.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Reno or to Grace Community Church in Minden.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
