Chivas win soccer crown

The Carson Chivas U-15 boys soccer team won the prestigious Las Vegas Premier Invitational tournament last weekend in Las Vegas. Made up of half Carson High junior varsity players, the Chivas of the Capitol Soccer Club won all four of their games and didn't allow a goal all weekend. They beat the DSC Roadrunners 2-0 in the championship game.


In pool play, Carson beat the Nemesis from New Mexico 4-0, Havoc F.C. from Southern California 1-0 and tied the WSM Phantoms from Oregon 0-0. The Chivas are coached by Carson High JV coaches Miguel Arce and Jim Wilcher.
