Kaitie Vidovich, Heather Diamond and Nichole Monge all homered as the Carson High softball team pounded out 14 hits in a 10-0 win over Spanish Springs on Thursday at CHS.
Mandy Carvin, Ambir Rackley and Lindsay Farnworth combined on a six-hit shutout in the game that was called after six innings. Farnworth also went 3-for-4 with two doubles and Monge went 3-for-3.
Carvin struck out three over three innings, Rackley pitched two innings and Farnworth finished up in the sixth. The Senators broke the game open in the fifth inning, scoring five runs to take a 10-0 lead on Vidovich's two-run homer and Monge's three-run shot. Vidovich hit a solo shot, was 2-for-3 and had three RBIs.
Beth Henry went 2-for-3, Lindsey Perondi and Natalie Mandoki were each 1-for-3 and Ariadne Gonzalez was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Carson.

Kelsey Sweet went the distance for the win for the Carson High junior varsity softball team, striking out 13. Jessica Grant went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Ashley Miller had an outstanding defensive game at catcher for Carson.
