Obituary: Timothy J. Furlong

A private family burial will be held at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City for Timothy J. Furlong.

Mr. Furlong died April 7, 2003, in Tacoma, Wash. He was born Dec. 17, 1934, in Carson City. He was 68.

Mr. Furlong was a 1953 graduate of Carson High School and was a 30-year resident of Tacoma.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Furlong; mother, Alta Leore Baxter Howard Furlong; and brother William "Bill" Furlong.

Among his survivors are his son, Richard of Tacoma; daughter, Kim Furlong Stephens of Belgrade, Mont.; sister, Elsie Fogle of Elko, brother Jerry Thomas Furlong of Carson City; six grandchildren; and former wife Teet Chavis of Parker, Ariz.
