A "polite" man in a black ski mask and carrying a short-barreled shotgun made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from a convenience store in East Carson City early Thursday morning.
According to police reports, at about 2:11 a.m. the man dressed in black and wearing gloves, confronted a female clerk as she was cleaning the coffee bar at the 7-Eleven store at the corner of Highway 50 and Graves Lane.
The bandit, described as "polite but firm with his demands," ordered the clerk to remove the money from the register. He then grabbed another handful of cash from another register and told her to put the loot into a plastic bag.
The clerk last saw the robber as he left the area on foot, the report states.
The man is described as 5-feet-8 inches to 5-feet-10 inches tall, wearing form fitting all-black clothing, with "green amber" eyes and weighing about 165 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Carson City Sheriff's Department detective division at 887-2020, ext. 1400.
