A memorial Mass for Patricia Haro Schreck, 58, a Carson City resident for the past 17 years, will be at 5:30 p.m. May 2 at Corpus Christi Church, with the Rev. James J. Setelik Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Schreck died April 13, 2003, in Santa Maria, Calif. She was born Jan. 15, 1945, in Santa Maria.
She graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1963.
Mrs. Schreck worked for J.C. Penney Co. for 24 years. She was a Eucharistic Minister and Catechism teacher at Corpus Christi Church and a member of the Carson City Catholic Daughters. Because of her devotion to Catholic ministries, she was awarded a Diocesan Award in February 2003.
Among her survivors are her husband Harry of Carson City; sons David Diaz of Sacramento and Guillermo Diaz of Seattle; grandchildren David James Diaz and Galiana Diaz; mother Pradelia Haro; brothers Lauro Haro, Carlos Haro and Raul Haro and sister Mimi Velasquez, all of Santa Maria, and numerous members of her extended family.
