A funeral for Hazel May Nickerson Corner, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Sparks Funeral Home.
Visitation will be there from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Corner died April 29, 2003, at her home in Sparks. She was born Dec. 6, 1921, in San Francisco.
She grew up in San Francisco and graduated from Balboa High School in 1939.
She lived in Sparks from 1955 to 1965, moved to Carson City to live from 1976 to 1991, and returned to Sparks in 1991.
Mrs. Nickerson was a former member of the Martha Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star of Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Page Patrick Corner.
Among her survivors are her daughters Sharon Hansen of Sparks and Patricia Dixon of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Kathleen "Doll" and Joel Edwards of Sparks; sister, Cecilia Frink of San Mateo, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Entombment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery in Carson City.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice of Reno, Washoe Association for Retarded Citizens or foster children programs.
Walton's Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
