Elmer Black Anderson Sr., 95, of Carson City died Aug. 17, 2003, in Carson City. He was born July 8, 1908, in Salinas, Calif., to John A. and Elizabeth Black Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was with the Salinas Fire Department for 37 years. He was chief of the department at the time of his retirement on Dec. 1,1964.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret on March 22, 1994; and son, Roderick on Aug. 5, 1974.
Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law Elmer Jr. and Amy of Carson City; grandchildren Liane Anderson of Carson City, Gregg Anderson of Antelope, Calif., Douglas E. Beeman of Riverside, Calif.,and Scott Beeman of Phoenix; great-grandchildren Tyler M., Noah M. and Kaitlyn G. Anderson, all of Antelope, Calif., and Jacob R. Beeman of Riverside, Calif.
At his request, no service will be held.
