A service for George Warren Mollart Sr., 79, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Freitas-Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Highway 208, Yerington.
Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A reception at the Odd Fellow Hall, 101 Main St., will follow the graveside service.
Mr. Mollart died Aug. 24, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno from a respiratory ailment after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Yerington to Warren Watson and Hilda Highfill Mollart.
He attended country schools in Lyon County and graduated from Yerington High School in 1942.
He married Beverley Ellen Finley Nov. 12, 1949. She preceded him in death in 1976. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Griffin in 1980, and they were married 10 years until her death in May 1991. The same year, he befriended Ruth Feole, who was his companion for the last 12 years.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in Italy and North Africa on a B-24 bomber crew. Upon his return, he was stationed in Phoenix.
Mr. Mollart was a farmer until 1953. He was employed by Anaconda Copper Co. until his retirement in 1978. He then worked for the Lyon County School District as a bus driver for approximately 10 years.
He was a 58-year member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 34. He served in all the local chairs and was a member of Grand Lodge of Nevada and Rebekah Lodge 23.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Bouchie.
Among his survivors are his children Clark of Reno, George II of Yerington, RoxAnne Seabern of El Paso, Texas, and Marianne Liggett of Spring Creek; sisters Evelyn Thompson of Yerington and Harriet Alvernaz of Turlock, Calif.; brother, Ben of Sacramento, Calif.; step-granddaughter Tammy Statler of Whitewater, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Freitas-Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
