The Carson City Sheriff's Department encourages residents to report suspicious persons in their neighborhoods. Please call dispatch at 887-2008 if you see the following:
- Someone going from house to house.
- Someone walking around houses or property.
- Someone looking into parked vehicles.
- Someone loitering in your neighborhood.
- Someone loitering near schools.
- Someone trying to sell something.
Be sure to give the sheriff's dispatcher a description of the person, including:
- Race or nationality
- Gender
- Approximate age
- Hair color
- Approximate height and weight
- Clothing description
If you believe a crime is in progress, be sure to call 911.
