A memorial service for Edward George Goddard, 89, a Topaz Ranch Estates resident for the past 29 years, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Topaz Ranch Estates.
Mr. Goddard died Dec. 16, 2003, in Wellington. He was born Oct. 15, 1914, in Alberta, Canada, to Alfred and Margaret Novak McCloskey.
He attended high school in California.
Before moving to Topaz Ranch Estates, he lived in Concord, Calif.
Mr. Goddard owned and operated a foreign-auto parts supply business in Albany, Calif., for many years.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Maurice Goddard, 90, of Wellington on Dec. 14, 2003. Memorial services will be held for both brothers at the same time.
Among his survivors are his former wife Evelyn and daughter Sandra Hyman, both of Sacramento; daughters Sharon Pearson of San Ramon, Calif., and Patricia Simms of Augusta, Maine; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
