Raymond F. Karlenzig

A graveside service for Raymond F. Karlenzig, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mountain View Cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Karlenzig died Dec. 13, 2003, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Reno. He was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Honolulu to Herman and Marie Cabral Karlenzig.

Upon graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, in which he was a senior chief. He retired in July 1973 and moved to the Reno area.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Howard and Kenneth.

Among his survivors are his wife, Julia DiGiacomo; son, Mark of Reno; daughter Kathy Hughes of Carson City; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Walton's Funeral Home in Reno is in charge of arrangements.
