A graveside service for Fred Winkler, 78, a Mound House resident for the past 55 years, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Mr. Winkler died Dec. 26, 2003, at home. He was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Belmont Park, Colo., to William and Louise Riggle Winkler.
He married Mary Brown on Nov. 22, 1961, in Reno.
Before moving to Mound House, he lived in Sacramento.
Mr. Winkler operated bakeries and was involved in construction, farming and electronics research. He enjoyed electronics, gardening and family gatherings. He was a Catholic.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a radio operator.
Among his survivors are his wife of Mound House; daughter, Beverly Boyce of Shelbyville, Tenn.; brothers and sisters-in-laws Jerry and Nancy of Eckhert, Colo., and George and Barbara of Brush, Colo; brother James of Austin, Colo.; sisters and brothers-in-law Jackie and Don Churches of Stockdale, Texas, and Evelyn and Gary King of Brush; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
