Well, February is here with a whirl of excitement! For all the men and women who want to show their loved ones a great time, Sunset Rotary has a romantic night planned.
No thinking is necessary to impress the one you love; they have thought of everything, including personalized photos and CDs. Sounds like a lot of fun.
The Carson-Tahoe Hospital Auxiliary has two wonderful programs -- the first one directly benefits nursing scholarships, and the other, "Layette Shower," helps babies in our community who need the basics. Please join me in dropping items off at Carson Tahoe Hospital Gift Shop; mark donations for the Layette Program.
I also want to thank everyone in Carson, Douglas and even Tahoe for all the donated jackets, new and used, to help the students throughout Carson City School District. So far, Mercury Cleaners has cleaned more than 70 jackets, and thanks to Jim Ford and Bill Dickens, I have five more big bags of jackets to be cleaned.
If you know of a child who needs a jacket and cannot afford one, call me at 283-2053.
