Obituary for Eric Sigmund Johnson

A celebration of life for Eric Sigmund Johnson, 46, a Carson City resident for the last 23 years, will be held at 10: 30 a.m. today at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge, 515 N. Nevada St., Carson City.

He died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at his home in Carson City. He was born Nov. 9, 1956, in Yosemite to Odin Sigmund Johnson and Mary Susan Reeves.

He married Rabecca Rich on Feb. 7, 1987, in Genoa.

Mr. Johnson was a service manager for Carson City Toyota for 23 years. His work was instrumental in enabling the company to receive the Toyota Service Excellence Award for many years. He had a reputation for putting his employees and customers first.

Mr. Johnson loved mountains and the Sierra Nevada. He was an avid snowmobiler and skier.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife; mother, Mary Sue Johnson of Oakhurst, Calif.; and sisters Ingrid Johnson Rooker of Carson City and Julia Johnson of Santa Cruz, Calif.
