A Carson City man who led police on a chase Monday was booked on an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine after jail staff allegedly found it during booking.
John Harland Hoffer, 29, is being held at the Carson City Jail on $95,000 bail.
He was arrested at Mills Park after a nearly 15-minute chase, in which Hoffer allegedly sped through East Carson City fields and roads on the back of a stolen quadrunner. He is being held on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon accused of running the quad at a police officer, possession of stolen property, obstructing, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police recovered quadrunners, a snowmobile, a flat-bed trailer, a black 1988 Range Rover, license plates, a bicycle and saws from a mobile home park near Lompa Lane, all allegedly stolen by Hoffer.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quadrunners, snowmobile and trailer missing from its lot on East Nye Lane. The burglary occurred sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
