A celebration of life and memorial service for Allen L. Stocke, 80, a Carson City resident for the past 18 years, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
Mr. Stocke died Feb. 21, 2003, in Carson City. He was born June 23, 1922, in Cleveland to Ralph and Geneve Irwin Stocke.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Garden Grove, Calif.
Mr. Stocke served in the U.S. Navy as an electrician first class and was a veteran of World War II.
He was in the vestry, a sexton and a choir member at St. Peter's. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, woodworking and spending time with his family.
Among his survivors are his wife, Lois; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Deborah Roberts Ketel of Carson City; son Jon Ketel of Westminster, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Lisa Stocke of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law Kevann and Bryan Lamkin of Fontana, Calif., and Laura and Steve Main of Carson City; grandchildren Tami and Chris Ward, Michelle and Justin Roberts, Kamryn Main, Natalie Birba, and Ashleen, Trevor and Krista Stocke; and god-daughter Cheris Roberts.
