A graveside service for Sarah Lane, 92, a Carson City resident for the past 44 years, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Lane died Feb. 23, 2003, in Reno. She was born July 9, 1910, in Colorado to Clyde N. and Lena Marshall Smith.
She married Truman Lane. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Pasadena, Calif.
Mrs. Lane was a licensed practical nurse. She loved animals. She owned horses and enjoyed caring for them. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers. She belonged to and was active in Church of the Nazarene in Carson City and taught Bible school.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Among her survivors are her sons Donald of Carson City and Richard of Fallon; five grandchildren; numerous great-grand- and great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and sisters Arbutus Nerenberg of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Temprence Reynolds of Roseburg, Ore., and Dorothy Larabee of Baraboo, Wis.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
