E. Laurienne Osborne, 75, a Minden resident for the past seven years, died Dec. 27, 2002, in Carson City. She was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, to Norman and Hazel McKnight Orth.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in Ashland, Ore., Los Angeles and Sacramento.
Mrs. Osborne was a registered nurse, retiring in 1982. She worked in numerous doctors' offices in Los Angeles and Sacramento. She enjoyed knitting and working crossword puzzles and she was an avid reader. She was past president of the volunteers organization at the Ashland Community Hospital in Ashland.
Among her survivors are: husband William C. of Minden; son Douglas R. Tomka of Sacramento; sister Phyllis Thomas of Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada; brothers Ben Orth and Lester Orth, both of Toronto and Earl Orth of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
