A memorial service for Carmen T. Still, 71, a Wellington resident for the past four years and a former Gardnerville resident, will be at 1 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Chapel in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Still died Dec. 22, 2002, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 13, 1931, in Raton, N.M., to Sarah Duran.
She married Edward Still on March 29, 1966, in Las Vegas.
Mrs. Still was a member of the Alpine Police Activity League for four years in Markleeville, Calif. She enjoyed helping people. She was a Catholic.
Among her survivors are her husband of Wellington; sons Steven Tafoya of Gardnerville, Carl Tafoya of Reno, Mark Tafoya of Spokane, Wash., Eddie Tafoya of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Dave Tafoya of Gardnerville and Daniel Still of Reno; daughter, Kathy Bergeron of Nassua, N.H.; and 11 grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
