Sixteen wrestlers for the Carson Bulldogs youth wrestling team won titles at the South Reno Tournament at Wooster High over the weekend.
Thirteen Carson wrestlers also placed second in the event. Carson had more first and second place finishers than any other team in the tournament. A total of 54 Carson wrestlers placed in the event. Those who placed first were:
Colby Brown, Micah Chalk, Owen Craugh, Patrick Craugh, Blake Davidson, Jorge Ariel Gutierrez, Garret Truesdell, Nolan Truesdell, Gehrig Tucker, Nicholas Lani, Garrett Manoukian, Bryce McCullen, Ricky McDonald, Willy McDonald, Simon Paige and Nolan Shine.
Those who placed second were: Colby Blueberg, Robbie Bozin, Travis Derley, Nicolas Garcia, Jorge Alberto Gutierrez, Nicolas Garcia, Riley Hutchings, Todd Lani, Brandon Maffei, Josh Martino, Anthony Pisani, Kyle Sharp, Nick Weir.
Others who placed for Carson were: Jordan Luhrs, fifth; Brandon McCullen, fourth; Ben McDonald, third; Brady Okeefe, fifth; Cody Reno, fourth; Ryan Pura, fourth; Vincent Roman, fifth; Christian Rushing, fifth; Matthew Tarter, fifth; Travis Brooks, fourth, Austin Brown, fourth; and Jimmie Bryan, sixth.
