A memorial service for Lynne Cecile Jackson, 65, will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 18, at Our Lady of Tahoe Catholic Church, West Elk Point Road in Stateline, with the Rev. Richard DeMolen presiding.
Mrs. Jackson died Dec. 25, 2002, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. She was born July 25, 1937, in Culver City, Calif., to John and Catherine Bair.
She earned a master's and a doctorate in metaphysical studies.
She moved to Nevada in 1968. For the next 34 years, she lived in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and Carson City.
Mrs. Jackson enjoyed several careers, including rural area coordinator for adult basic literacy, and English as a second language programs with the Community College System of Southern Nevada.
Among her survivors are her husband Rick of Las Vegas; son Ed Kluss of Pahrump; sisters Jessica Morrison-Dahl of Reno, Joan Watson of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Rose Mary Garner of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; brothers Robert Bair of Oregon and Kenneth Bair of Washington; and eight grandchildren.
