A memorial service for Larry Hendrickson, 66, a Washoe Valley resident, will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Bethlehem Lutheran church.
Mr. Hendrickson died Jan. 7, 2003, at his home. He was born in Lewistown, Mont., to Knute and Thea Hendrickson.
He attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., and pursued graduate studies at Oregon State University.
He was retired from the U.S. Forest Service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed water skiing, camping, fishing and wind surfing. His special hobby was growing organic apples in the orchard he planted at his home. He was a trustee of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are: wife Char; brother Lloyd of Lisle, Ill.; and daughters Robin and Christine, both of Fort Hall, Idaho.
