Shirley Lorraine Biller, 83, a Gardnerville resident for the past 12 years, died Jan. 20, 2003, at her daughter's home in Minden.
Mrs. Biller was born Sept. 1, 1919, in Bisbee, Ariz., to Charles and Elizabeth Butler Wiles. Her family drove from Tombstone, Ariz., to Los Angeles on the plank road in 1924. Her grandfather was a jailer in Tombstone in the late 1800s.
She married William Biller in 1945.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived at South Lake Tahoe for 10 years, Maine for two years, Anchorage, Alaska, for two years and Southern California for 40 years.
Mrs. Biller was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband in November 1977, a daughter, Peggy in 1951, sisters, Joyce in 1969 and Sylvia in 1990, and a brother Valentine in 1999.
Among her survivors are: daughters Teri Wadding of Minden and Bonnie Biller of China, Maine; son William Killion of Fort Jones, Calif.; brother Ellis Wiles of Barstow; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardnerville Senior Center Meals on Wheels in her name.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
