A funeral Mass and Rosary were said Saturday for Gardnerville resident Jesus D. Granados at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Granados died Jan. 20, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1924, in El Monte, Calif., to Pomposo and Lucia Dominguez Granados. He was 78.
Mr. Granados was a plumber and a member of St. Gall.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife of 17 years Jeannette of Wellington; daughters Christina "Tina" Andrade, Diana Slawson and Cecilia Ross; son James "Jimmy" Granados; stepchildren Michael "Mike" Roybal, Michele "Miki" Roybal, Joseph Roybal and Janet Piscitelli; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and brothers John, Carmen and Mike.
Burial will be at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Riverside National Veterans Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
