A graveside service for Edna Leah Chrestensen, 82, a Carson City resident for the past seven years, will be at 11 a.m. today at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Mrs. Chrestensen died Jan. 24, 2003, in Carson City. She was born April 5, 1920, in New Castle, Ind., to Myron and Gaylan Jett French.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Medford, Ore.
Mrs. Chrestensen was a homemaker. She was active with senior citizens' centers in Carson City and Dayton. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, and spending time with her family. She was a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin, in 1995; daughter, Bonnie in 1987; and sister Geraldine Taylor in 2002.
Among her survivors are her son, Jack of Arizona and Alaska; daughters Jan Rae of Seattle and Yvonne Fether of Carson City; sister Alice Crain of Williford, Ark.; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
