Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ruhenstroth Cemetery in Gardnerville for native Nevadan Richard Rodney James Jr., age 38. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
Mr. James died June 27, 2003, in Salem, Ore.
Born Feb. 20, 1965, in Schurz to Richard Sr. and Margene Hurley James, he was a member of the Paiute-Shoshone tribe.
He was a logger and enjoyed playing his guitar, drawing and hiking. He previously lived in Dresslerville.
Mr. James was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Margene Smokey of Carson City; wife, Ann, of Minden; two brothers; and three sisters.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
