Barbara Ann Boman, a 24-year resident of Carson City, died July 1, 2003, in Carson City. She was born May 23, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa, to James Edward and Zella Joy Marks Parsley. She was 78.
She married Truman "Bud" Robert Boman, who preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a Presbyterian and did volunteer work and fund-raising for children's homes while living in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and other locations. She taught Sunday school classes throughout her life.
Prior to living in Carson City, she lived in Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
Her sister, Harriett Washburn, preceded her in death in 1962.
Among her survivors are her sons Truman "Bud" Robert Jr. of San Jose, Calif., and Edward Paul of Memphis, Tenn.; daughters Susan Lazicki of Carson City and Marcia Ann Richardson of Yellville, Ark.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Walton's Sierra Crematory and Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
