Carson City man arrested for child porn

Dwight Sherlock of Carson City is scheduled to appear in East Fork Justice Court today on felony charges he possessed child pornography.

Sherlock, 26, had been living in Carson City on Roop Street when his estranged wife told Douglas County sheriff's deputies she found pornography, including a picture of what she described as a 14-year-old girl.

Lt. Mike Biaggini said two images of females ages 10 to 12 have been found on a computer disk belonging to Sherlock.

"As far as we can tell, these photos were not taken by him," Biaggini said. He also said as far as investigators know the children depicted in the images are not local children.

Sherlock, arrested Thursday, was being held at the Minden jail. Bail was set at $25,000.
