A funeral for Jewel Lee Ward, 93, a long-time Reno resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, 6255 Pyramid Highway, Sparks.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Walton's Sparks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ward died June 21, 2003, in Reno. She was born Aug. 29, 1909, in Tennessee Colony, Texas, to William Jurgen and Lula Galloway Taylor. She was the sixth of eight children.
She married Walter Ward in 1929. He preceded her in death in 1969.
She moved to Ely in 1955, then to Reno in 1958, where she lived until her death.
Mrs. Ward retired from Lynch Communications in Reno in 1979. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Sparks.
Among her survivors are her daughters Kathryn Pruitt of Reno and Sharon Burnett of Canyon Country, Calif.; son Charles of Carson City; grandchildren Dwain Ward of McGregor, Texas, Donna Dean of Arlington, Texas, Denise York Young of Prosper, Texas, Pam Spinner of Valencia, Calif., Jeff Burnett of Moorpark, Calif., David Cain of Elko, Kamala Cain Carmazzi of Carson City and Jolene Cain Kuhn of Reno; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno.

Walton's Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
