Assembly Bill 54 amending the Carson City charter, has been signed by Gov. Charles Russell. It provides for procedures in extending city assessments and a second procedure for attaching and selling property in delinquency.

Carson City School District teachers will receive about $47,000 in a "roll-down" money because the state will rebate more money to the district than originally projected.

Assembly has voted unanimously for a bill that would allow marriage licenses to be issued at satellite offices instead of main county offices instead of main county offices around Nevada. It is the latest version of a measure wedding chapel owners on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe have sought for years.
