More charges could be pending against a Gardnerville nurse who stands accused of sexually assaulting more than a dozen women while they were patients at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
"Fifteen victims have come forward and I'm going to make a determination after reviewing the reports if each (complaint) will result in a charge being filed," said Chief Deputy District Attorney Anne Langer on Monday.
Jason Laurie, 29, remains in custody following his Feb. 14 arrest on suspicion of felony sexual assault and two misdemeanor counts of open and gross lewdness. He is being held on $55,000 bail.
Laurie was arrested after two women told a security guard there he violated them while they were under sedation in the emergency room.
Police said Laurie admitted during an interview that he fondled the two women.
Since his arrest, 13 more women have come forward saying they were also sexually violated while under Laurie's care.
Langer said she will ask that Laurie's bail be increased if more charges are filed.
Laurie, who worked at the hospital for two years, was fired from his job and his license was suspended pending a formal hearing next month.
