Obituary: Heather Michelle Teeter

A service for Heather Michelle Teeter, 18, a Dayton resident for the past six years, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Walton's.

Miss Teeter died March 8, 2003, at Washoe Medical Center. She was born Sept. 24, 1984, in Portsmouth, Va., to Mark Teeter and Gloria Hansen.

She graduated from Dayton High School and attended the University of Nevada, Reno. At Dayton High, she was a member of the National Honor Society, a cheerleader and student body president.

At the time of her death, she was a UNR student and a waitress at Johnny Rockets at the Reno Hilton.

Among her survivors are her father and stepmother, Mark and Sandy Teeter; mother and stepfather, Gloria and Andrew Hansen; sister Stephanie and brother-in-law Josh; sisters Aly and Anjuli; brothers Christopher and Weston; grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
