WILDHORSE RESERVOIR NEV: Dennis Dunn of the Wild Horse Resort (775-758-6472) reported: "The ice fishing is over! We have open water showing, with the whole south end wide open. Where there is ice, it is not safe to venture out. The ice began to disappear in the last several days due to the combination of the weather warming up and the warm Chinook winds. This is the earliest that we have ever been ice free. All of the creek areas are now open and there should be good fishing as the rainbows begin to move into those creeks to spawn."
