A funeral for Vilate Beth Moore, 70, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Visitation will be there from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Moore died March 23, 2003, at home. She was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Elko to Frank R. and Alice V. Hutchinson Salls.
She graduated from Elko High School.
She married Donald O. Moore in 1981.
Mrs. Moore was a bookkeeper for the Elko Free Press from 1960 to 1967. She operated Hesson's Hardware in Elko for 10 years, worked for the state of Nevada Employment Security Department from 1976 to 1981, and was a real estate agent in Carson City from 1987 to 1992.
She loved boating and all outdoor activities. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carson City Third Ward.
Survivors include her husband, Donald O. Moore of Carson City; sons and daughters-in-law Jeffrey and Kathy Hawkins and Stephen and Jennifer Hawkins, all of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law DeeDee and Wally Murray and Ginny and Barry Hensler, all of Carson City; daughter Val Barrick of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers Albert Salls of Reno, James Salls of Hanford, Calif., Charles Salls of Venezuela and Kent Bowers of Elko; grandchildren Tony, Tricia, Zach, Jessie, Travis, Kendra, Sam and Amber; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
