A funeral for Lawrence Henry Fredericks, 70, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington with the Rev. Juan Salinas of the Community United Methodist Church officiating.
Mr. Fredericks died March 21, 2003, at Washoe Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1932, in Yerington, to Henry and Maude Summers Fredericks, one of nine children.
He graduated from Yerington High School and later the University of California, Berkeley, where he received his aircraft mechanics degree.
Mr. Fredericks served in the military during the Korean Conflict, was discharged in 1955 and returned to Yerington where he worked in construction.
Among his survivors are his daughter Valeria Fredericks; daughter-in-law Sylvie Gagnon and grandson Alex Blackburn, all of Montreal, Canada; sisters Marie Burchett of Las Vegas, Grace Gourdin of Vacaville, Calif., and Ida Bell Stanley of Westminster, Calif.
Burial with military honors will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
