James Allen "Pooh" Hartley, a longtime Gardnerville resident, died April 30, 2003. He was born July 26, 1956. He was 46.
He attended Douglas High School and the University of New Mexico.
Mr. Hartley was an artist, loved the outdoors, reading, surfing and sharing with others.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Hartley; and best friend, Rawlin LeDoux.
Among his survivors are his devoted friend and love Pamela Horton; twin sister, Judith LeDoux; nieces and their spouses Hannah and Mike McIntosh and Rose and Kai Liao; great-niece, Mia Liao; half siblings Linda Phebus and Daniel Hartley; and sons Tyler and Loren of Ohio.
A private service will be held.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
