John Clifton "Jack" Glynn, 88, a Carson City resident for the past seven years, died March 4, 2003, at his granddaughter's home in Sacramento. Mr. Glynn was born Oct. 1, 1914, in Tempe, Ariz., to Thomas B. and Bessie Rockwell Glynn.
He graduated from high school in Hayden, Ariz.
He married Lydia Jane Winebrenner on March 15, 1948, in Miami, Gila County, Ariz. She preceded him in death on Sept. 3, 1989, in Covina, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Covina.
Mr. Glynn was a tool-and-die maker. After retiring, he became an electrician. He loved to play golf and made a hole-in-one at Eagle Valley Golf Course at age 82.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and daughter Lillian Rich of Fortuna, Calif.
Among his survivors are his daughters Alma Goforth of Poteu, Okla., and Dolores Goforth of Indiantown, Fla.; son-in-law, Roscoe Rich of Fortuna, Calif.; sisters Katherine and Mary Ellen; brothers Tommy and Larry; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and special friends "Doc" Lynn Lindsay and Penny Power.
A memorial service will be at a later date in Glendora, Calif.
He will be buried at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora beside his wife.
