Memorial services for 10-year Northern Nevada resident Terry Lee Katausky, 60, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mr. Katausky died May 8, 2003 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1943 in Johnstown, Pa., to John and Betty Davis Katausky.
He was a graduate of Whittier High School and has lived in the Reno-Carson City area for the past 10 years.
Mr. Katausky retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years. He received numerous citations and medals including meritorious unit commendation with two bronze stars, Vietnam Campaign medal with three bronze stars, Vietnam service medial, the Navy achievement medal, the Navy unit citation and the National Defense service medal.
Among his survivors are his wife, Carol Cannon-Katausky of Carson City; sons Matthew of Salem, Ore., Peter of California; daughters Amber Katausky of Salem and Tamara Patterson, of California; step-son Scott Rabideau, of Carson City; step daughters Michele Rabideau Whaley, of Carson City; Cynthia Rabideau, of Portland, Ore., Jacque Day of Portland and Robin Banker, of Los Banos, Calif.; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Lori, of Sparks; John and Susan, of Chandler, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nephews Ryan and Justin Katausky of Sparks; and an uncle Al Katausky of Reno.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
