Mike Fumarol's band Blues Edge will play the Genoa Bar on Saturday night. The three guys guys play classic rock with -- you guessed it -- a blues edge.
"He tends to lean toward Stevie Ray Vaughan, and he does it pretty well," said Fumarol's wife, Charlene.
The other two performers are Ernie Wayne on bass, who also writes and sells ads for the Virginia City Register; and Brad Kawchak of Indian Hills on drums.
They'll get started about 8 p.m. on Saturday, but get there two hours early if you're hungry -- there's a barbecue in the outside beer garden.
Last weekend, Blues Edge played Saturday and Sunday at the newly reopened Cabin in the Sky. They planned to wrap up around midnight, but kept it up until 1 playing requests.
"They're running pretty hot right now -- it's sounding good," said Charlene Fumarol. "They can do a Stevie Ray Vaughan riff like no one else." Call the Genoa Bar for more details at 782-3870.

Mil Koch is excited about the Lyon County Fly-in and Air Fest for the Armed Forces Day weekend Saturday and Sunday to Silver Springs. She's the wife of T.J. Koch, chairman of the event.
Held for seven years at Tiger Field in Fernley, the fly-in has outgrown that facility and will be held for year eight at Silver Springs Regional Airport. This is a great event for kids.
Breakfast starts both days at 7 a.m., so if you're flying in, get there in time for pancakes and sausage.
The official opening each day is 10 a.m. with a flag presentation by cadets from the Civil Air Patrol of Winnemucca and veterans from Fernley.
Then the Bureau of Land Management smoke jumpers drop in. BLM will also bring a fire truck and Smokey Bear. But that's just the beginning. There'll be search-and-rescue teams from Reno and Fallon Naval Air Station, Navy SEALS from Fallon doing face painting and showing off some of their hardware, the Care Flight helicopter, canine units, ultralight aircraft, static displays and flights for young people by the Young Eagles Program of the Experimental Aircraft Association. To fly with the Young Eagles, you have to be 8 to 17 years old and have parent of guardian present.
There is also a raffle with more than 200 prizes, including Southwest Airline tickets, haircuts, video rentals, dinners, 8-by-8-foot mini barns -- or as Mil Koch puts it -- "everything."
The fly-in is put on by the Fernley, Silver Springs, and Dayton chambers of commerce. Anywhere from 100 to 200 planes and about 5,000 people are expected. Entry is $5 per carload -- bring your lawn chairs. For more information call 575-4459 or visit www.lyoncountyflyin.com.

I'm getting excited about Wednesday's meeting of the Tall Club of the Sierra at Hamdogs in Gardnerville. Whenever I referred in jest to my compact college buddy AJ Lear as a "midget," he would come back with a little something or other about my similarity to the Addams family's "Lurch." At 6 feet, 6 inches, I always prepare to answer "No, I never played basketball" when I meet someone. Maybe I'll find some folks who understand my plight at Wednesday's meeting. The club's mission statement reads: "We are a group of tall folks who enjoy getting to know others blessed with the gift of height. We share the advantages of being tall, and solutions to obstacles of 'higher' living, providing resources to our membership aimed especially for us."
