Obituary: Dr. Harry Pittman

Dr. Harry R. Pittman, 97, a Carson City resident for the past nine years, died May 14, 2003, in Carson City. He was born Dec. 15, 1905, in Harrisburg, Pa.

He was a longtime resident of Harrisburg, where he owned and operated a dental practice for many years and was a member of the Harrisburg Consistory, Colonial Park United Church of Christ, Robert Burns Lodge No. 464, Free and Accepted Masons, and the Euclid Lodge No. 698, F&AM.

He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.

Among his survivors are his wife of 69 years, Zoe, of Carson City; sons Frank of Buffalo, N.Y., and Jim, of Carson City; daughter, Zoe Taylor of Reno; and grandchildren Zoe, Bob and Kristine Pittman.

A funeral will be held in Harrisburg with burial there in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
