Brent Server placed second for Carson High School in the one-meter diving event Saturday at the NIAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Reno.
Server, a senior, posted a score of 382.80 points to finish second during competition held at the University of Nevada's Lombardi Recreation Center.
Boulder City junior Vance Hooley won the event with a 410.95 total.
In the last two years, Server has placed second and fourth in the state diving and has also been named to the all-state academic team. He was also second in the Northern 4A regional meet diving champion last week.
His performance helped the Carson boys finish eighth in the team standings with 118 points.
