Sparky's Sports Bar & Grill and Ming's Chinese restaurant will be two of the businesses at Carson Quail Park on 6.5 acres in South Carson City.
California Closets and Home Design will join the restaurants.
Bordered by Carson, Curry and Rhodes streets, the park will include 62,241 square feet of commercial space and should be completed by December, said Chad Guldin, leasing manager.
The development is about 30 percent occupied, the businesses either leased or sold.
"We think the property has a lot of potential," Guldin said. "We're feeling very good about getting clients for the rest of the property."
Two large office/retail buildings will face Carson Street. The spaces range from 4,200 to 26,000 square feet.
The buildings can accommodate restaurants and offices to retail and light industrial, and the complex will offer five parking spaces per 1,000 square feet, Guldin said.
Reno-based Ribeiro Co. is the owner and contractor for the project. The development group specializes in commercial office and industrial complexes. The company has developed approximately 10 million square feet of commercial space in Las Vegas and Reno.
"Ribeiro manages and leases 1.8 million square feet of commercial property in Reno," Guldin said. "Now the company is expanding to Carson."
He said Vice President Ed Yuill was raised in Carson City and has had his eye on this market for some time.
"We feel this is an excellent site location," Guldin said. "We have other plans for developments in Carson City. We can't give any specifics at this time, but we'll definitely be expanding in Reno and Carson City."
The Quail Park logo is on developments in Las Vegas and Reno, and the company prides itself on its landscaping, Guldin said.
"We do our own landscaping and maintain it ourselves," he said. "So it's always better than average."
