A funeral Mass for Paul Douglas McCrary, 58, a Yerington resident for the past three years, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Yerington with the Rev. Paul McCollum officiating.
A gathering following the Mass will be at Cabin Fever off Highway 339 in Yerington.
Mr. McCrary died May 17, 2003, of injuries received in an auto accident near Mason. He was born Sept. 3, 1944, in Pikeville, Ky., to Harry and Minnie Mae Rainwater McCrary. He lived in Kentucky where he graduated from high school and attended Sullivan Business College.
He lived in South Lake Tahoe for 12 years before moving to Yerington.
Mr. McCrary served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He was a member of the Vietnam Security Police Association and a member of E Clampus Vitus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Paula, in June, 1999.
Among his survivors are special companion of 19 years Jessie Grohman; daughters and sons-in-law Trisha and Ethan Lindquist of Los Olivos, Calif., and Heather and Robert McDaniel of Yerington and seven grandchildren.
Burial with military honors will be at 11 a.m. May 29 at the Happy Homestead Cemetery in South Lake Tahoe.
Memorial contributions may be made to E Clampus Vitus.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
