Frank O. Ames, 68, a Carson City resident for the past 34 years, died Nov. 2, 2003, at home.
Mr. Ames was born Sept. 4, 1935, in Elko, to Orval and Esther Ames.
He graduated from Reno High School and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno.
He married Marion D. Anderson.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Reno for several years.
As a youngster and teenager, Mr. Ames was an outstanding baseball catcher, especially with his American Legion team. He was also an avid 49ers fan.
Among his survivors are his wife Marion; children Michael, Mitchell and Becky Panter; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
At his request, no service will be held.
