Obituary-Freaddy Chaney

A visitation for Freaddy Alvin Chaney, 41, a Fernley resident for the past three months and Dayton for seven years, will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mr. Chaney died Nov. 4, 2003, at home. He was born Oct. 4, 1962, in Carson City to Roy A. and Linda Parsley Chaney.

He graduated from Carson High School in 1981.

He married Amy Hale on May 3, 1997, in Gulfport, Miss.

Before moving to Dayton, he lived in Mississippi.

Mr. Chaney was a locksmith and an emergency medical technician for the Dayton Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, leather crafting, hiking and backpacking. He was a Protestant.

He was preceded in death by his son Colby Lynn.

Among his survivors are his wife of Fernley; parents of Dayton; son Justin Harris of Las Vegas; daughters Cheyenne Marie Chaney and Shania Kay Chaney of Fernley and Samantha Chaney of Dayton; brother, Ted of Dayton; and sister, Racheal Chaney-Gomes of Dayton.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
