Girls soccer

Hannah Sullivan, Douglas - Sullivan set a school record for most goals in a season with 21. Sullivan was an all-league first team choice as a junior and coach Fred Schmidt said she was even better as a senior. The Sierra League coaches agreed as she was named as the Sierra League's Player of the Year.

Christina Bradshaw, Douglas - Bradshaw scored 16 goals this year for the Tigers and was an all-league first team choice.

Andrea Bryant, Douglas - An all-league first team choice as a junior, Bryant allowed less than a goal a game this year for the Tigers, repeating as an all-league first team selection.

Jenny Jaggard, Douglas - A homeschool student in her first year with the Douglas program, Jaggard was named as the Sierra League's Defender of the Year.

Mackenzie Porter, Douglas - Porter was an all-league first team choice as a midfielder.

Katie Kotter, senior, Carson - Was named as the Sierra League's Midfielder of the Year.

Terah Laack, senior, Carson - Was an all-league first team choice as a forward.

Allie Otto, sophomore, Carson Ð May have been the most improved player in the area this season. Otto was at her best in the Nortern 4A playoffs where her play helped carry Carson to the zone title game.

Courtney Hayes, junior, Carson - Was an all-league first team choice as a midfielder.

Sami Valerius. sophomore, Carson - Carson's improvement on defense was a big reason why the Senators reached the zone title game and Valerius was a key factor.

Abby Walker, Galena - Was named as the High Desert League Offensive Player of the Year.

Abby Lepeilbet, Galena - Along with Walker, formed Galena's one-two offensive punch. Was named all-league first team.

Erin Davis, Galena - Was named as the High Desert Defensive Player of the Year.

Melanie Rodarte, Galena - Was named all-league first team as a midfielder.


Boys soccer

Robby Liebherr, Carson - Liebherr was a team captain and started at goalie and forward. When playing at forward, Liebherr gave Carson more speed in its attack.

Edgar Gomez, Carson - Was all-league second team at midfield.

Royal Good, Carson - A versatile performer on defense and at midfield, Good was an all-league first team choice.

Dan Berger, Carson - Also a team captain, Berger anchored Carson's defense.

Chris Honer, Douglas - He led the team in scoring and was an all-league first team choice.

Chase Zumpft, Douglas - Was an all-league first team choice at goalie.

Colten Mellows, Douglas - A versatile performer for the Tigers, Mellows helped anchor the midfield and defense for Douglas and was an all-league first team choice.

David Sturgess, Douglas - His play at center midfield was one of the keys to the Tigers' success.

Mario Harker, Galena - He was the High Desert's Offensive Player of the Year.

Aaron Anderson, Galena - Was all-league first team as a defender.

Brett Wilson, Galena - Was all-league first team at midfield.

Daniel Timko, Galena - Was all-league first team at goalie.

Jesse Gutierrez, Dayton - League MVP, Gutierrez shattered his own school single-season record for goals with 28 in 15 games. He also had seven assists this season and finished his career with 47 goals.
